Wallabies name strong squad for Autumn Internationals

Australia’s ‘Wallabies’ coach Micheal Cheika has named 6 new caps ahead of his 32 man squad for the autumn internationals that will see them Play Japan, England, Wales and Scotland over the coming Month.
Newcomers Billy Meakes, Izaia Perese, Matt Philip, Blake Enever, Jack Maddocks and Liam Wright, will all be joining the prepartions for the 1st time although Maddocks and Wright won’t be considered for selection has they classed as development players.
Due to the absence of experienced flanker Jack Dempsey, Ben McCalman has earned a recall and could receive his 50th cap over 15 months since getting his 49th.

One person who won’t be making the trip to the northern Hemisphere is Queensland Reds Fly Half Quade Cooper who has been in and around the Wallabies since making his debut in 2006 accumulating 70 caps along the way. However the veteran has found game team at club level hard to come by lately and Chieka was quick to admit he had Bernard Foley, Kurtley Beale and Reece Hodge all in front of him in the peaking order for the number 10 shirt!
