United and Chelsea aim for champions league knock out stage!

Tonight see’s Manchester United travel to Switzerland to take on Basel as they look for the single point required to ensure they qualify for the last 16 as Group Winners.
United will defiantly be without centre Back Phil Jones who hasn’t recovered from the thigh injury he aggravated while on international duty. He will join defender Eric Bailly and Midfielder Michael Carrick on the side lines.

On a more positive note, long term absentee Paul Pogba came through his comeback game against Newcastle and will line up in United’s Midfield, while striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic also came through his first competitive match since suffering cruciate ligament damage last April, is again likely to come off the bench at some point in the match.
For the home team they are without suspended star midfielder Taulant Xhaka who is the brother of Arsenal’s Granit Xhaka!

Chelsea are also on the road tonight as they take on the 5000 mile round trip to face FK Qarabag in Azerbaijani, needing a win to ensure they qualify for the final 16.
Despite needing the win, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte, is also thinking ahead to Saturdays curial premier league fixture against Liverpool at Anfield, so may rest some of his star players were possible. With Michy Batshuayi, Charly Musonda and Victor Moses all defiant nonstarter’s through injury, David Luiz is in line for a recall!

With the Scottish Champions already effectively out of this year’s champions league, Celtic are playing for pride as they travel to PSG who beat them 5-0 in the opening group game.
They do have midfielder Tom Rogic available after returning from international duty in Australia, while defender Jozo Simunovic could be in line for his first appearance since September after being a non-playing sub at the weekend.
For the home team, they could rest a host of their star players as they have already qualified for the knock out stages, with a 100% record scoring 17 goals and conceding none in the process.
