Tonights English team’s Champions League news

Tonight, see’s three more English teams in Champions league action with Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham all in group action.

Liverpool who are currently top of their group on goal difference, welcome Slovenian side Maribor to Anfield and will be looking to continue were they left off a fortnight ago were they won 0-7 in the reverse fixture. Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has confirmed Lloris Karius will continue his role has 1st choice keeper for European match’s while a number of players will face late fitness test, including Brazilian midfielder Phillippe Coutinho, Joe Gomez and Alberto Moreno while defender Dejan Lovern will be given every chance to prove his fitness but is rated as doubtful.

Premier League leaders Manchester City have reported no new injuries as they travel to Italy to play Serie A leaders Napoli tonight. City club Captain Vincent Kompany still hasn’t recovered from a calf injury that has kept him side lined since August and will take no part as his team look for the point that will guarantee their qualification into the knock out stages. With City winning the reverse fixture 2-1 Napoli coach Maurizio Sarri has gone on record pre-match stating the Premier League leaders “are the best team in Europe, led by the best coach in Europe”.

Finally, Tottenham Hotspurs will be looking to go one better than the 1-1 draw they earned at the Bernabeu has they welcome the ‘Kings of Europe’ Real Madrid to Wembley tonight in a massive fixture for both teams, as a win for either side would see them qualify for the knock out stages.
After missing their top of the table clash with United at the weekend, Tottenham are confident England skipper Harry Kane will return to the side, bringing with him a record of 13 goals in 12 games this season, although Midfielder Victor Wanyama still hasn’t recovered from a knee injury!
The visitors are currently under some unknown pressure following a rocky start to the La Liga season and a shock 2-1 defeat to la Liga new boys Girona at the weekend. Tottenham old boy Gareth Bale, still hasn’t recovered from a calf injury and will again miss the game against his former team, while first choice keeper Keylor Navas and defender Raphael Varane are also side lined with injury.
