Solskjaer to keep faith with De Gea despite recent errors.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunner Solskjaer has admitted he will keep his faith with under fire keeper David de Gea for Sundays must win game against Huddersfield following his recent high profile errors proving costly!

The Spaniard who has been United’s first choice keeper for five years as been the subject of debates throughout the Footballing world following some Howlers in recent games, done more costly then the one that lead to Chelsea’s equaliser in their 1-1 draw at Stamford bridge last weekend, that could see United now miss out on a top four spot!

With United’s back up Sergio Romero being ruled out with a knee injury suffered during training this week Solskjaer was quick to justify his position regarding this week’s selection as he told reporters

“David's been training well this week and he will play.
“David has been fantastic this season,” Solskjaer added. “Towards the end he's been in headlines for the wrong reasons but he has to deal with that. The goalkeeping department has experienced better times than just now but David is ready for Sunday.
“David's confident and looking forward to the next two games, he wants to prove how good a goalkeeper he is. The performances over the years, David's got all my confidence.”

The extent of the situation De Gea is in at the minute is shown in the stats, as in 123 games for United, in which time he was voted player of the year four out of five season’s the keeper who is widely regarded as one of the world’s best made three mistakes that lead to goals.

However, that figure has since doubled in the last four games, with one in their recent 3-0 defeat to Barcelona, one against Manchester derby when they lost 0-2 to Manchester City and last Sunday’s against Chelsea.

United now have a tale order if they are to finish in the top four and gain a Champions League place next season as two wins out of their last eight Premier League games has seen them drop to Sixth, three points off the top four with only two games remaining!
