Manchester United join the hunt for Sanchez?

Glory, Glory Alexis Sanchez!

Reports from Sky sources in Italy, suggest that Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is ready to make an attempt to lure Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez to Old Trafford from under the noses of derby rivals Manchester City.

It is believed officials from United have contacted representatives of both Arsenal and their star striker to open talks, while it is also rumored they are willing to put their money where their mouth is as they are willing to out bid Man City in both transfer fee and player wages.

They are also believed Armenian international midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan could be used as part of a swap deal, as he has fell out of favor with United boss Mourinho, who is now looking to off load the star to free up his wages.

Although City just missed out on signing Sanchez for £60m on deadline day of last years summer transfer window, they are believed to prefer waiting until the summer as they are unwilling to cause any tension or unrest in their current squad that is current 15 points clear at the top of the Premier League, whilst also still in the hunt for the Carabao Cup, F.A Cup and the Champions League.

Although it isn’t under stood if any official offer has been made from either Manchester team, Sky Italy have suggested Manchester City would prefer for the Chilean International to wait until summer when he becomes a free agent and that they already have a potential package sorted that could see the 29 year old pocketing a £30m signing on fee and up to £13m a year in wages.
