Manchester United and Chelsea both in Champions League knock out stage

Two goals in two second half minutes was enough to see Manchester United progress through to the Knock Out stages of the Champions League as Group A winners with a 2-1 victory over CSKA Moscow.
Despite United being the dominant team it was the visitors struck first on the verge of Half time, Brazilian Vitinho’s shot hitting team mate Alan Dzagoev and past Romero in the United goal! In the second half, United kept their calm and continued to apply pressure and turned the game on hits head Midway through the half as Romelu Lukaku stretched out to connect with a Paul Pogba cross, with the slightest of touches being enough to guide the ball into the net to make it 1-1.
Straight from the restart United continued to push and only two minutes after scoring the equaliser, Juan Mata found Marcus Rashford who calmly slotted the ball into the net to give United the advantage they would never let go. Basel’s 2-0 win away at Benfica ensured they qualified in the runner up spot.
The evening didn’t go so well for Premier League Champions Chelsea, who could only manage a draw with Atletico Madrid at Stamford Bridge, which was enough to see them through to the knockout stages as runners up in their group.

Chelsea had their chances to take the lead against the Spaniards, with both Alvaro Morata and Eden Hazard going close, it was the Visitors that took the lead just before the hour mark, former Chelsea favourite Fernando Torres' finding Saul Niguez at the back post.
This lead to Chelsea upping their game and throwing bodies forward at every opportunity as the clocked ticked by and eventually with 15 minutes remaining the pressure paid off as Madrid defender Stefan Savic failed to clear an Eden Hazard cross, instead he guided it into his own net. With time running out and Roma beating Qarabag in Rome, Chelsea through everything they had at last years Champions League Semi-finalists but to no avail!
