Manchester City may have defender John Stone back for the visit of Leicester City to the Etihad Stadium on Saturday. The England centre back as been absent for the last few weeks with a knee problem, but recently returned to full training. No such luck for play maker David Silva however! He remains extremely doubtful with the abdominal injury that kept him out of last weeks draw at Burnley.
For the Visitors, Riyad Mahrez, who has missed the clubs last two match’s has returned to training following his self-imposed absence following City’s failed last minute transfer bid, however it remains unknown if he will take any part in this game.
Another Leicester absentee will be Shinji Okazaki who faces at least two weeks on the side lines after picking up a knee complaint lately.
Tottenham Hotspurs latest signing Lucas Moura could make his debut following the Brazilian’s recent move from Paris St Germin to North London as they take on rivals Arsenal at Wembley.
Also hoping for a spot in the team are Harry Winks, Danny Rose and Toby Alderwireld as the trio all retuned from long term injuries in Wednesdays FA Cup replay win over Newport County.
For the visitors, goal keeper Petr Cech is a major doubt with the calf issue that saw him substituted at half time during last weeks win over Everton, David Ospina will take his place should Cech fail to recover. On the positive side Danny Welbeck is fit and expected to return from a hip injury, while Nacho Monreal has recovered from his illness that say him also leave the field last week and returned to full training, so is expected to retain his place in the starting 11.
