Both Leeds Rhinos and Wakefield Trinity fans will see several new signings from both clubs make their debuts in this years Boxing clash as the prepartions for Super League 2018 starts to warm up!
Leeds rhinos coach Brain Mc Dermott has named former England International Richie Myler, Nathaniel Peteru and Brad Dwyer in his side that will be captained by the young Irish prop forward Brad Singleton.
With Rob Burrows now retired and part of the coaching staff and last years Grand final winning skipper Danny McGuire now at Hull KR, Myler will line up with Jordan Lilly in the halves for the first time. Also named in the squad are youngster Ashley Goulding and Jack Walker who are both slugging it out for the starting full back spot in February so expect them to play 40 minutes each.
Wakefield coach Chris Chester has also named three of his new recruits in his strong 20 man squad for the festive challenge, with former Leeds Rhino forward Jordan Baldwinson joining Pauli Pauli and Justin Horo in pulling on the Wakefield colours for the first time.
With many of the team playing their part in Wakefield’s recent rise up the table, Chester has named close to a full squad, with only full back Luke Hooley yet to make his 1st grade debut.
