Kane to captain England!

England boss Gareth Southgate has named in form Tottenham Hotspur’s Striker Harry Kane as Captain for tonight’s World cup qualifier against Slovenia in which victory will ensure England of a place in next year’s world cup finals.

This will be the 2nd time Kane has captain the National team, sharing the role with Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson, Chelsea defender Gary Cahill and West Ham Keeper Joe Hart as Southgate decides exactly who will take the job on permanently.

According to reports, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will join Raheem Sterling, Marcus Rashford and Skipper Harry Kane in an attack orientated line up at Wembley tonight.
Sterling will be stepping into the suspended Dele Alli’s role alongside Rashford and Chamberlain with Kane upfront.

Joe Hart will retain his place in goal, while Manchester City defender is expected to start in alongside Chelsea’s Gary Cahill in central defence, with Kyle Walker retaining his place at right back and Southampton’s Ryan Bertrand making up the back four.

Tottenham’s Eric Dier and Liverpool’s Jordan Henderson will make up the midfield.
Slovenia are expected to name an unchanged line up from their last group F match against Lithuania and would need to take the three points to keep up any realistic chance of making the finals.
