After a bad week in Europe, Tottenham Hotspurs turned their attentions back to the Premier League as they hosted Stoke City at White Hart Lane. In a much improved performance Harry Kane was again the star man with3 1st half goals which gave him his 3rd Hat-trick in 9 games as he helped fire the home team towards a 4-0 victory.
The England Striker opened the scoring on 14 mins, when he latched on to Ryan Shawcross’s flick to beat the Stoke City Keeper Lee Grant.
His second came 15 mins from half time from a Christian Eriksen corner, which found Kane in the box, and he produced an excellent half volley finish into the bottom corner and minutes after that he completed his treble when his free kick effort took a wicked deflection off Stoke’s wall and into the net, giving Grant no chance.
Tottenham finished the half on a high has Kane turned provider for Dele Alli to score Tottenham’s fourth of the game.
In the second half, although Stoke seemed to improve on their first half performance, only a fine save from Stoke Keeper Grant stopped Kane adding a fourth to his individually tally.
