Italian giants Inter Milan are believed to be preparing to step up their talks with Manchester United and Belgium international forward Romelu Lukaku as Sky sports reports officials from both clubs will be meeting this week.
With Serie A rivals Juventus believed to also be showing an interest in the striker, the Nerazzurri officials are under pressure to sort out a deal that would prevent Champions Juventus from strengthening their already powerful squad.
With United believed to be only interested in a cash only deal with a figure of £75m set for the asking price, the Inter officials are understood to be looking at ways to quickly raise the required funds.
Despite the interest, United officials have praised the Belgian’s professionalism after he returned to training earlier than required and is currently on their Pre season tour to Australia.
With that in mind although he is contracted untill 2022, it is understood he does want a move away from Old Trafford after finding game time hard to come by under Ole Gunner Solskjaer as he drops down the pecking order at the club.
With Lukaku’s days at the club seemingly short lived, United have offically made an enquire for Southampton’s Mario Lemina as Solskjaer continues to rebuild his squad with talented younger players.
The 25 year old Gabon International who has played 46 times for the Saints since his 2017 arrival from Italian giants Juventus has been allowed by Southampton to talk to other clubs and has been left out of their pre season trip to Austria.
Along with a move for Lemina, Sky sports sources are also reporting the Red Devils are currently preparing a bid for Newcastle’s midfielder Sean Longstaff as they look to add to their current summer signings Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bisaaka.
With two new midfielders in the pipeline, this all adds more and more speculation to Paul Pogba’s future at the club as speculation continues to grow over a big money move to Spain or his former club Juventus in the next few weeks.
