Castleford haven’t named any surprises in a strong squad that has seen them blow apart every team before them this year, including a 66-10 victory over their Grand final opponents in March. One person who has missed out is Veteran prop forward Andy Lynch who has now effectively retired from the game, hoping to go out with a back at old Trafford.
For the Leeds Rhino’s they have some of their own players saying good bye to the blue and Amber on Saturday night, Veteran half backs Rob Burrow and Skipper Danny McGuire will both play their final game for Leeds after more than a decade at the club. Burrows as announced his decision to retire and take up a coaching role at the Rhino’s while McGuire will move to newly promoted Hull KR next season.
Also named in the squad is back rower Ste Ward in their 19 man squad, ward left the field during last week’s semi-final win over Hull FC with a dislocated shoulder and was ruled out of the final the following day, however after a 2nd look their Leeds Medical team are confident he will be able to play some part and will give him to Saturday afternoon to prove his fitness.
