Fiji vs Australia World cup Semi Final teams

Tomorrow sees a David vs Goliath meeting as Current World cup holders and world number 1’s Australia go head to head with tier 2 team Fiji in the World cup semi final played in the Cauldron of rugby league that is the Suncorp stadium in Brisbane.

Australia have named a unchanged team from the won that saw off Samoa 46-0 in the quarter finals, boasting a team full of experience at every level including two veteran players well over the 300 NRL game mark going up against a team that has only 3 players in the entire squad with more than 100 NRL games to their names.
The last time these teams meet in the world cup, it was at the same stage back in 2013 and Australia ran out 64-0 winners, the biggest ever margin at that stage of the competition.

How things have changed over the past four years, back then you had the big three tier 1 teams that always walked into the last 4 and then the best of the rest, the tier 2 nations would be depending on the draw to make up the numbers, but not anymore!
This Fiji team has earned their place by being the first ever team to knock out a tier one nation with their 4-2 defeat of World Number 2’s and former world cup winners New Zealand and they are out to prove it was no fluke.
