Eddie Jones names his England Training Squad

England Head coach Eddie Jones has announced his 33-man training squad ahead of their planned two-day training camp next week. The squad welcomes back Leicester’s Manu Tuilagi after two injury plagued years, along with Sacracens’ Maro Itoje, Bath flyer Anthony Watson, Exeter speedster Jack Nowell and Wasps pack man James Haskell. Along with those returning from injury, head coach Eddie Jones has also welcomed 4 uncapped players in his squad; Saracens Fly half Alex Lozowski, back rowers Josh Beaumont (Sale) and Mike Williams (Tigers), also Bath prop Nathan Catt. 7

Missing out on the two-day camp, which will be held in Brighton over 2-3 of Jan, are Mako and Billy Vunipola (Saracens) and Joe Launchbury (Wasps) who are all currently injured.

Jones is hoping the training camp will enable the squad to concentrate on organisation work in preparation for the defence of the ‘Grand Slam’ with England’s first game being against France at Twickenham on the 4th February.
