Chelsea avoid big guns in Womens Champions League last 16.

Chelsea and Manchester City Ladies teams on course for Champions League Finals

Chelsea Ladies will travel to Sweden in the last 16 of the Women’s Champions league after being drawn against Rosengard, while Manchester City will face Norwegian team LSK Kvinner.

Although Chelsea were not seeded following their away goal victory over Bayern Munich in the last round, they managed to avoid defending champions Lyon, Germany side Wolfsburg and Spanish Giants Barcelona, while they could not be drawn against the seeded Manchester City.

This is the first time two English clubs have made the last 16 since the 2013/14 season and for Chelsea a victory over the two legs would mean them reaching the Quarter Final for the first time in the club’s history.

Elsewhere Holder Lyon, will take on BLLK-Kazygurt of Kazakhstan as they look for an unprecedented third title in a row, Barcelona and England striker Toni Duggan will face Lithuanian team Gintra Universitetas and Wolfsburg will face Italian side Fiorentina.

The first leg will be played on November 8/9th with the return legs the following week.
